Discover the New 'Star' in the STAR CNC Galaxy

Star CNC introduces SK-51A, the first in a NEW line of automatic fixed headstock lathes.  This new ‘star’ incorporates the advanced Fanuc iHMI control system with ‘smart’ machining capabilities that easily and efficiently guide the operator through the manufacturing process.  The twin, 12-station turrets with identical travels allow balance machining on either spindle, while the A2-5 spindle chucking options grip parts where required.  The SK-51A’s slant bed design meets the demands of difficult-to-machine materials typically required by the medical, energy and aerospace industries. The machine’s design offers easy access to the spindles and turrets and has extensive tooling options to address complex part needs.  The user-friendly touch screen control provides easy access to on-board machine and control manuals.

SX-38 Type A/B CNC Swiss-type Automatic Lathe

The Star SX-38 Type A/B, a 12-axis compact Swiss-style machine with slant-bed construction, maximizes productivity for difficult-to-machine materials up to 42mm diameter.  The capability to keep 80 tools resident with high horsepower motors means heavy metal removal rates and flexibility.  B-axis surfacing with up to 135 degree travel handles up to 0.5″ diameter tooling.  This high-functioning, large-diameter model – with gang-type and turret-type tool posts – serves the precision machining requirements demanded by the medical, automotive, and aviation industries.

NEW Star SR-20JII Machine

The SR-20JII is the new upgrade to the SR-20J model.  This newer model is built for optimum machine configurations with a large tooling capacity combining 8-spindle back working unit with Y-axis control and the 5-spindle cross drilling unit.  The updated design of the “slanted dovetail slideway structure” tool post improves the rigidity of the machine, which provides stable cutting condition even on difficult materials. The cycle times are also reduced, due to increased overlapping machining possibilities.

The SR-38B, 10-axis Swiss-type automatic lathe is the latest addition to the Star CNC product line and sets a new standard for machining complex, large diameter parts with high operation efficiency. Rigid machine construction is designed to handle bar stock up to 1-1/2” (1.500) diameter. With B-axis versatility, complex parts can be produced in one operation with the precision and accuracy required by quality critical applications in a variety of industries. Star’s proprietary motion control system further optimizes machining operations and significantly reduces idle machine time.

With B-axis versatility and an eight-spindle back working unit, it can accommodates very complex parts production in one operation with the precision and accuracy required by quality critical applications across a variety of industries.
Rigid machine construction is designed to handle bar stock up to 1-1/2” (1.500) diameter. Built-in main- and sub-spindles and high tool post rigidity ensure exceptional accuracy. Simultaneously controlled x1 and x3 axis allow two tool turning, for heavy material removal, or rough and finish tooling. Star’s proprietary motion control system further optimizes machining operations and significantly reduces idle machine time.

The SR-38B is also environmentally friendly because of the reduction of energy consumption due to the high operation efficiency.
